Description

The W5500-EVB-Pico is a sophisticated microcontroller evaluation board that integrates the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi RP2040 with the W5500 fully hardwired TCP/IP controller. This board extends the functionality of the standard Raspberry Pi Pico by incorporating advanced Ethernet connectivity provided by the W5500 chip, making it a potent platform for developers keen on designing Internet-connected applications. Key Specifications: MCU: RP2040, equipped with a dual-core Cortex M0+ processor capable of running up to 133MHz, accompanied by 2MB of external Flash memory. Memory: It features 264KB of multi-bank high-performance on-chip SRAM and an external Quad-SPI Flash that supports eXecute In Place (XIP). Networking: The W5500 chip provides robust networking capabilities, supporting hardwired Internet protocols such as TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMP, PPPoE. It also supports 8 independent hardware sockets and includes 32KB of internal memory dedicated for TX/RX buffers. Connectivity: Includes 2 × UART, 2 × I2C, 2 × SPI for communication and a Micro-USB B port for power, data transfer, and programming. The board features a built-in RJ45 connector for Ethernet connections. I/O and Other Features: Offers 30 multi-function GPIOs, a 12-bit ADC, and various digital peripherals. It also includes 2 × Programmable IO (PIO) blocks, 8 state machines in total, for flexible, high-speed user-programmable IO.
